Munich, the capital city of Bavaria in the South East of Germany is the country's 3rd largest city. Whilst the capital Berlin is modern, Munich has bags of character and offers a traditional German experience with its food (heavy pork dishes), rich beer history, there are over 200 beer gardens in this city, it's also the venue of the world's largest beer festival, Octoberfest. You may like to wear traditional Bavarian lederhosen (short or knee length breeches and hat, not forgetting the weird knee high socks) while you visit traditional beer halls such as Hofbrauhaus which brews its own beer whilst you enjoy the oompah music or the largest Hirschgarten which hosts up to 8,000 people.
Rugby is a minor but growing sport in Germany - it makes a great tour base for teams looking for social or social/competitive standard matches from teams who will give amazing hospitality.
There are some unique and amazing excursion options here - why not go sightseeing on a beer bike city tour, visit the largest film studios in Europe, you could even star in your own film or do a rooftop tour with zipwire across the Olympic stadium or take a 22 tonne raft with your team and your own brass band on a party down the river Isar with food and beers.
